Customer Reviews Avoid at all cost Date: 2008-10-20 | Rating: 1 I purchased this device for the sole purpose of backing up my PC for a reinstall. The first time I used it, I successfully backed up all files, but when I went to retrieve those files, the drive quit on me. After several hours on the phone with customer service, they told me, there was nothing that could be done. The name soon brought back a memory, that I had purchased another product from SimpleTech and that device broke on me as well, if I would have remembered that, I would never had purchased this item. Simply put, all SimpleTech devices I have used have been garbage. I would suggest avoiding this product! DONT BUY THIS BRAND!!!! Date: 2008-12-27 | Rating: 1 I am a DJ and was on the road, my lap top was acting up so I went to Best Buy and grabbed this product, backed up all my tunes, thought I was safe. 2 weeks later it just stopped working. Went to Best Buy they wanted to just exchange it, I didn't care about an exchange I wanted my tunes back. I called the company and after several attempts and talking to pre recorded voice mails I got some chinese guy who told me basically I was screwed. But I could return it for another one. I have not heard back from the manufactuer but this drive will be returned after I remove what's left of my data and I will be buying a different brand.
