Customer Reviews Great product, reliable many uses Date: 2008-01-07 | Rating: 5 My son and I have 10 of these SimpleDrives. They have worked flawlessly for over a year in a number of different ways. Primarily we use them to backup of files, extend the file capacity of our laptops. I formatted one fat32 and have put ghost images of my laptop on it for recovery. I did recover from a ghost image once and it worked. I also formatted one fat32 and put 200GB of photos in folders on it. I then connected it to my Kodak Eashshare Digital picture frame. All these uses have worked great. I just order more SimpleDrives as we need more space. I purchased the drive to use as backup storage for my PC files (primarily photo, video, music library and document files). I have not had any problems since I've had the drive. The SimpleTech external hard drive has been very easy to use and totally reliable for my purposes. Not very good Date: 2008-02-08 | Rating: 2 I bought this drive hoping for the best, there was one five star review, the picture looked good and the price was right. Well the drive works, however the enclosure is very cheap feeling and my unit had 2 loose screws inside! I don't think they held anything together as everything inside seemed secure, but obviously this says something for build quality! The case is 100% plastic, painted silver. In short it works, but I don't have much faith in the reliability. It seems awfully cheap, hopefully the actual drive inside is decent. I have to decide if returning this is worth the hassle.
